Participation in the National Motor Freight Classification^® (NMFC^®) allows carriers and other transportation companies to use, or refer to, its provisions, including commodity descriptions; classes; rules; packaging definitions, specifications and requirements; as well as the Uniform Straight Bill of Lading and other carrier procedures and best practices. Participants receive a single seat license to ClassIT^®, the online version of the NMFC, and have access to classification and packaging assistance at no charge. Participants also get discounts when purchasing classification products and services.
